For ease of use and if you are not familiar with iptables, we recommend using the
APF firewall and
BFD (Brute Force Detection) scripts that
R-FX networks maintains. Ubuntu 9.x+ users can install it via 'apt-get install apf-firewall' but the BFD script would need to be installed manually. Users of other Linux distros will need to install APF and/or BFD manually. If you need assistance installing this, please contact support via online chat or by submitting a
