Enabling the Netsonic CDN in Joomla


Using the CDN with Joomla

After signing up for the Netsonic Global CDN Service and setting up your new URL, ie., cdn.yourdomain.com, you will be given instructions on updating DNS for that new hostname. Once you have updated DNS to reflect this new hostname, you can then configure your site as detailed below:

Installation Of CDN Plugin

  1. Download the latest version of Joomla CDN plugin.
  2. Login to the Joomla Admin Panel.
  3. Navigate to Extensions > Install/Uninstall.
  4. Upload the plugin via Browse.
  5. Navigate to Extensions > Plugin Manager.
  6. Click into System - CDN plugin for Joomla!.
  7. Enable the plugin and insert the CDN URL into CDN URL Domain.


Verify if your Joomla website is on CDN by viewing the HTML source code. Image links shall be replaced with CDN URLs.
